Reinvigorating Lemonthyme

Lemonthyme Wilderness Retreat

Kay Shanley from Breakaway Creative has been instrumental in the reinvigoration of Lemonthyme Wilderness Retreat over the last 2 years. Her ability to isolate the core distinctive elements of the experience offered by Lemonthyme and disseminate an appealing and consistent message that captures those elements in visual, written and verbal mediums, is exceptionally effective.

At our first meeting Kay was adamant that we needed to rebrand to reflect the broader experience encountered at our location and so we became a “Wilderness Retreat”, not just a “Lodge”. A refreshed logo was followed by new images emphasising the calmness and relaxed atmosphere of the pristine rainforest environment.

A subtle softness was permeated through the colours and images in our redesigned webpage. Kay’s creativity is demonstrated at its best with the restyling of this page, seductive in the way it presents the beauty and pleasure of Lemonthyme. Her professionalism was acknowledged with a significant accolade when Fastline Media (whose WordPress product, Beaver Builder, was used by Kay to build the Lemonthyme site) featured the Lemonthyme webpage on their own homepage.

Kay recreated all our collateral marketing materials, newspaper, magazine and television advertising, Facebook page and even our restaurant menus to reflect the new theme.

Ongoing services provided by Breakaway Creative include Search Engine Optimisation to achieve higher-ranking in Google search results, together with posting regular news items on Facebook.

There’s no doubt Kay’s contribution has had a significant impact on guest response to our renewed marketing and ultimately on the increase in our rooms occupied over the last 18 months – up an incredible 19% from the 2014 calendar year to the 2015 calendar year.

The total number of nights spent by holiday visitors to Tasmania for the year ending December 2015 was 4.9 million, up 7% from the previous year. The outperformance by Lemonthyme Wilderness Retreat can be substantially attributed to Kay’s ingenuity, distinctiveness and professionalism.

Thank you Kay.
