Great Nature Escape – review on Trip Adviser

After reading other reviews we were worried about the road into Lemonthyme but it was fine. It took about 20 mins at about 30km/h and we were in a Corolla. No problems at all. Don’t let the other reviews put you off. The drive is worth the effort.

We stayed in a family cabin with 1 bedroom downstairs and parents room upstairs. The cabin was clean and spacious in a beautiful setting.

Staff are friendly and helpful. The walks around Lemonthyme vary in length and difficulty but all are great. Buffet breakfast was delicious. We had dinner at the restaurant one night and while the menu is limited (due to the remoteness) the food was again delicious and servings generous. Kids meals are great too.

We stocked up on supplies in Sheffield before we arrived so we wouldn’t have to drive in and out too much. Cradle Mountain is about 35mins drive from Lemonthyme.

Can’t wait to go back. Such a peaceful and beautiful place and we didn’t miss the wifi at all.
